When a Notion page isn't enough: publish the HTML itself
Most “Notion alternative” results are about workspaces. This page is not. It is for the case where an agent wrote a full HTML page and a Notion site is the wrong container for it.
HaveTML
The page, as a link

An honest note about this search
People searching “Notion alternative” usually want another workspace: docs, databases, permissions, a wiki the whole team edits. HaveTML is not that. It is a place to publish the HTML, Markdown, YAML or JSON file your AI wrote, as a sandboxed page behind a link. If that is not the job, Notion is the better product and you should stop here. If the agent already handed you a full HTML page — a Relume export, a Claude Design file, a Cursor landing page — pasting that into a Notion page wraps it in Notion's editor. The published site is still a Notion site. HaveTML publishes the file itself.
What Notion's own publishing guide covers
Notion's publishing and sharing guide describes Notion Sites: unlimited pages on one notion.site domain, search indexing that can take up to four weeks, a paid add-on for a custom domain, and password protection that the same guide has said is not available at the moment. Comments and mentions live on Notion pages for people who edit in the workspace. None of that is a flaw. It is a wiki and a docs tool that can also publish. HaveTML's overlap is the published HTML page: private, unlisted or public, comments pinned to the rendering, versions behind one link, and a password or expiry on Pro. No custom domain. No databases. No team wiki.
When to publish the file instead of a Notion page
Publish to HaveTML when the HTML has to look and behave as written — layout, scripts, fonts — rather than as blocks in a Notion page. Publish when the recipient should open a link without a Notion account, and when you want to put a password on that link. Stay in Notion when the page is a living doc the team will keep editing, with databases next to it. You can do both: keep the working copy in Notion, export HTML when you have it, and publish that export as unlisted. The Relume and Claude guide covers inlining styles so the export is one file.
The short version
- Yes. Choose HaveTML when the file is HTML, Markdown, YAML or JSON and you want that file to be the page, with comments, versions and a password option.
- Partial. Choose Notion for docs, databases and team wikis that the whole team edits.

Where Notion is better
Docs, databases and team wikis, all editable by the whole team.
Publish the HTML instead of a Notion page
If the agent wrote HTML, publish that file. If the work still lives in Notion, export and, when you have HTML, publish it as unlisted. Keep the Notion copy for the wiki; send the HaveTML link when the file has to be the page.
